Privacy

This policy explains what Lisper collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. Lisper offers a hosted mode and a bring-your-own-key mode, and they handle your data differently.

What we collect

When you create an account, we store your email address (through Google sign-in). If you join the waitlist or send a message through the contact form, we keep the email and message you submit. We also record how much of your free quota you have used.

Your voice and text

In hosted mode, your audio and the surrounding text are sent to our servers to produce a transcript, then returned to you. We do not store your audio, transcripts, or input-box context in our logs. In bring-your-own-key mode, your voice and text are processed on your own machine and never reach our servers.

Third-party processing

To turn speech into text and polish it, hosted mode relies on third-party speech-recognition and language-model providers. They process your audio and text only to return a result, under their own terms. We never sell your data or share it for advertising.

Cookies

We use a few cookies for sign-in, your language choice, and security (CSRF protection). We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Data retention

Account and quota records are kept while your account is active. Waitlist and contact messages are kept until they are no longer needed. You can ask us to delete your data at any time.

Your choices

You can request access to or deletion of your personal data through the contact page. Closing your account removes your account data.

Who we are
